At Fantasy Foldem, we've already revolutionized the fantasy sports world with formats such as Sit and Draft Leagues, but we decided there was no reason why we should stop here. And so we've teamed up with the World Championship of Fantasy Football to bring you The Heads Up Bracket Challenge, another contest unlike any other and another chance to win BIG!!!

Starting Week 11 of the NFL season, 64 entrants will be divided into 4 brackets and will compete head-to-head in a single-elimination tournament until 1 Champion is left standing at the end of Week 16. The top 8 finishers will all receive cash awards and the Champion of The Heads Up Bracket Challenge will walk away with $5,000. Sign-up now because once we fill all 64 entries, registration will be closed until next year. For complete information and rules governing The Heads Up Bracket Challenge, please Click Here.

Official Rules

All contests that makeup The Heads Up Bracket Challenge ("Challenge") are subject to Fantasy Foldem's Official Rules and Terms and Conditions. Additionally, the Challenge will also be administered according to the following policies:

  1. The Challenge will consist of 128 entries and will begin drafts on Wednesday, November 5, 2008.
  2. In the event that 128 entries are not received prior to Wednesday, November 5, 2008, the Challenge will be downsized to 64 entries and will begin Week 11 with drafts starting Wednesday, November 12, 2008. Failure to reach 64 entries will result in the Challenge being voided and participants being refunded their entry fees.
  3. The entry fee for the Challenge is $215.
  4. An individual may submit up to, but no more than 4 entries in the Challenge. Individuals with more than one entry will have each entry placed in a separate bracket.
  5. The Challenge will include 4 separate brackets, each of which will be composed of 32 entries. Entries will randomly be assigned a position within each bracket subject to the exception that an individual with more than one entry will not have two entries placed in the same bracket.
  6. Entries will be paired against one another in each bracket and will compete in a heads-up format with the winner advancing to the next round and the loser being eliminated from the Challenge. This process will be repeated until there is a winner from each bracket at the conclusion of Week 14.
  7. The winner from each of the 4 brackets will enter the semifinals of the Challenge and will randomly be assigned to compete against another semifinalist during Week 15. The winners of the 2 semifinals will then compete for the Championship during Week 16 while the losers of the 2 semifinals will compete for the 3rd and 4th place awards.

If requested, Fantasy Foldem may choose to assign participants living on the west coast later draft times; however, Fantasy Foldem cannot guarantee that special draft time requests will be granted. If a participant is not present or does not have an active internet connection at his or her draft's scheduled start time, they will be Auto-drafted according to the same policies that govern Fantasy Foldem's other contests. 10. Standard Decimal Scoring System

All contests that makeup the Challenge will use the same scoring system, outlined below. A team will receive points based on stats from the NFL games played. If the two teams have the same number of points, then Tiebreakers will determine the winner.

Scoring is calculated based on a decimal scoring system, up to the hundredth. Anything beyond the hundredth percentile is rounded down. Example: a QB passes for 237 yards, a QB receives 1 point per 25 yards, and so the resulting points scored will be 9.48.

Only players in your starting lineup will count toward your point total each week. You do not receive any points from players on your bench.

Offensive Skill Positions: QB, RB, WR, TE
    Passing Touchdown 4 Points
Rushing or Receiving Touchdown 6 Points

    Scoring Notes
These are special scoring issues which require further explanation:

    Special Team Scoring
A team will be rewarded 6 points for a special team touchdown to their defense/special team selection. The player who scores the special team touchdown will also receive 6 points. Example: If Devin Hester returns a kickoff for a touchdown, Chicago will receive 6 points for a special team's touchdown and Devin Hester also receives 6 points.

    FG Return for TD
A field goal attempt returned for a TD will be officially scored as a DEF/Special Teams TD.

    Scoring Corrections
Scoring corrections are only made when absolutely necessary. All point totals will be final for the week on Wednesday. You will receive an announcement if a stats correction must be made to your final score.

Real-time statistics during games are subject to change and should be considered unofficial.

    Tiebreakers
The following tiebreakers will be used when a contest results in a tie:

    1. Overall points scored
    2. Fantasy points scored by running backs, quarterbacks and wide receivers combined.
    3. Most fantasy points scored by an individual player/position.
    4. Split the awards.
